Women in Maritime Operations (WIMOs) was founded in 2017 to bring together women working in operations roles within the maritime industry. Though it began in New Orleans, WIMOs has grown to have presences in Texas, Minnesota, Kentucky, Ohio, Mississippi, Alabama, and Illinois. WIMOs provides industry women opportunities for additional training, networking and volunteer work. We're proud to share that Crescent Towing’s Heather Lech, Dana Asevado, Patricia Davis and Tina Adams joined the group in March of this year and recently attended a WIMOs Lunch and Learn at Cargill Grain Westwego. After lunch, the group geared up with PPE and toured the facility. They were able to board a vessel that was in berth and watched an incoming vessel be moored by our very own CTS Mooring crew. It proved to be a great experience for all involved, and the group looks forward to participating in future WIMOs events and opportunities.
